Click on thumbnail to enlarge. Our Molino Vecchio (old mill in Italian) is a former water-mill, dating back to about 300 years ago. In 2001 it was completely restored and turned into a country house. On its left stands a small dwelling – formerly a barn – which can be enjoyed as a holiday home. We live in a valley, at about 50 metres beneath the fortified village of Castiglioni; its old town can be reached by foot in just 15 minutes. In Castiglioni you will find a bar, two food shops, a hairdresser's, a post office and the local church. The village also offers a tennis-court, and a dance floor that serves as a basketball court and skating-rink. The village is located nearby the Gola Della Rossa and Frasassi Reserve. This is the largest protected area in the Marches, where you can walk, cycle, ride and enjoy nature at its best. For further news about Castiglioni click on: |
